The coats were purchased through Rotary District 6000’s Operation Warm Coats, which helps local Rotary clubs purchase cases of new coats at affordable prices. Patriot’s Pen winners named At a recent assembly at Greene County Middle School students’ accomplishments during the fall semester were celebrated. Winners of the Patriot’s Pen essay contest were honored. Kristin Wailes placed first, Meadow Losee placed second, and Michael Rumley placed third. Students wrote essays of 300-400 words on the topic “Why I Honor the American Flag.”
