The Greene County Ram summer teams both earned wins via the 10-run rule when the Manson Northwest Webster Cougars traveled to Jefferson June 23. At Allensworth Field, junior Branden Miller had an impressive varsity debut with a five inning no-hitter. He struck out seven batters and walked five.

Rams drop two of three at W. Marshall softball tourney
The Greene County Ram softball team went 1-2 at the West Marshall tournament in State Center Saturday, losing to teams from much larger schools than Greene County. Senior pitcher Marissa Promes pitched the first game against Des Moines Christian. The Rams won 2-1, with the scoring on a two run home run by Jenna Beyers.

The Greene County baseball and softball teams both won Heart of Iowa games June 19. The baseball team topped the Collins-Maxwell Raiders 8-2 at Allensworth Field in Jefferson, while the softball team preserved its undefeated league record with a 10-2 victory over the PCM Mustangs in Monroe.

Both were non-conference games. At the city field, Ram pitcher Marissa Promes allowed only two hits. She struck out five batters and walked none.
