The Grand Junction Community Center will be the site of 25 crafters and direct sales vendors for the Grand Junction Fall Craft & Vendor Show this Saturday, Oct. 22. The show ill be open from 10 am to 2 p. Lunch will be served by the Junction Food Producers 4-H club.

State treasurer Fitzgerald tours bell tower
~courtesy of The Scranton Journal State treasurer Michael Fitzgerald toured the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower in Jefferson recently. The tower, originally dedicated in 1966, was awarded Vision Iowa’s Community Attraction and Tourism grant this summer. The grant will allow for the tower’s expansion into a full four-octave, 47-bell carillon.
