New picture book tells bell tower story
The Bell Tower Community Foundation has rolled out a limited edition commemorative book in time for the 50th anniversary of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower. Mikki Schwarzkopf, who as a new Jefferson resident decades ago wrote the story of Floyd and Dora Mahanay and the bell tower, also wrote the new book, which is full of photos and tales not shared before.
