Greene County district court, week ending April 12

In Greene County district court Brandon Lee Nevins, 43, of Grimes was sentenced April 3 to 10 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must complete 100 hours of community service. Nevins was fined $855 with a $93.75 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay an amount not to exceed $500 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. Jeremy Ernest Andrews, 35, of Jefferson was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for time served after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He was fined $855 with as $93.75 surcharge; both were suspended. Andrews must also pay an amount not to exceed $500 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. Autumn Rae Lee, 22, of Bayard pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft- fourth degree. A trial date was set for June 18.

Cases were initiated as follows: Matthew Alan Swanberg, 38, of Farnhamville, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; Phillip Dean Amos, 50, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, failure to affix tax stamp, keeping premises for controlled substance violation, and unlawful possession of prescription drug; Deidra Raedean Sheets, 60, of Gowrie, operating vehicle without owner’s consent; Cade Enriquez Brincks, 19, of Carroll, operating while intoxicated; Joshua Jay Blumberg, 28, of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; Laryssa Shelbi Bushman, 29, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; and Jessie James Sanders, 22, of Jefferson, burglary- third degree.
