Greene County magistrate court, week ending Dec. 8

In Greene County magistrate court Alyssa Lorene Ralston of Des Moines was sentenced Dec. 6 to five days in jail on a charge of theft- fifth degree. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. She was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. She must also pay $306.16 victim restitution to HyVee. Court costs were $133.

Lewis Delbert Randolph of Jefferson was sentenced Nov. 28 to seven days in jail on a charge of violating a no contact order. He was also fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. A second count of violation of a no contact order was dismissed. Court costs were $60. In a second case against Randolph, also on a charge of violation of a no contact order, he was sentenced to seven days in jail, with the jail terms concurrent. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge in that case. Court costs were $96.50.

Kyann Karysa Brown of Jefferson pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary- first degree in a magistrate case that also includes a charge of disorderly conduct- fighting/violent behavior. A trial date was set for March 4.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Bryce Randal Delaney of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Crystal Elizabeth Clear of Carroll, criminal mischief- fifth degree; Lewis Delbert Randolph of Jefferson, interference with official acts, and in a separate case, violation of a no contact order; and Melissa Kay Hayward of Jefferson, violation of a no contact order.
