Hearing scheduled in sex abuse case

The end of a sexual assault case that has weighed heavily on the minds of area residents is in sight. An adjudicatory hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, at 9 am in juvenile court for Trey Tucker, now 17, on a charge of delinquency. The notice of hearing was entered in Iowa Courts Online June 21.

Greene County district court, week ending June 17

In Greene County district court Preston Perin, 54, of Jefferson was sentenced June 13 to 60 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault-serious, amended from domestic abuse assault causing injury. The jail sentence was suspended and Perin was placed in informal probation for one year. He was fined $15 with a $110.25 surcharge. He must…
