More than a dozen children enjoyed creating their own art and craft projects at the Jefferson park and recreation department’s art camp last week.

The fun continues, inside and out.

Dino-Mite Bash, featuring dinosaur-themed arts, crafts and activities for children ages 3-6 is slated for Thursday, June 23, from 10 to 11:30 pm.

A day of tribute to the Stars and Stripes, Grand Ol’ Flag Day, is slated for Thursday, June 30, from 10 to 11:30 am, also for children ages 3 to 6. Dino-Mite Bash and Grand Ol’ Flag Day will be held at the Greene County Community Center.

Mini basketball camp will be Monday through Thursday, June 27-30, from 11 to 11:45 am at Russell Park. Children who are entering second or third grade are invited to learn the basic fundamental skills of basketball, with the importance of teamwork being stressed.

Registration forms are available at the Community Center at 204 W. Harrison St in Jefferson or on the JPRD page of the city of Jefferson’s website.
