Sheriff’s office, JPD tell sTEP activity

The Greene County sheriff’s office and the Jefferson police department worked special Traffic Enforcement Projects (sTEP) July 1-7. Sheriff’s deputies report making one arrest for operating while intoxicated (OWI) during that time. Deputies issued 18 citations for speeding, one for a stop sign violation, one for driving with a suspended license, and three other citations.
