Turner named to Main Street board

Loren Turner has been named to the board of directors of Jefferson Matters: Main Street. Turner is owner of Heaven’s Best Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning in Jefferson. He has lived in Jefferson for 12 years. His wife Lisa is a family and marriage counselor.

Turner became involved with Jefferson Matters: Main Street in 2012 as a member of the business improvement committee. He was later named co-chair of the committee. Each volunteer board member of JMMS wears two “hats” and Turner’s second hat is now chair of the business improvement committee.

JMMS is a volunteer organization devoted to economic development through historic preservation in downtown Jefferson. Persons who would like to become involved with JMMS can contact Alan Robinson, program director, at 515-386-3585 or director@ jeffersonmatters.org.

Visitors seeking information about downtown Jefferson are encouraged to visit the office at 110 West Lincoln Way in the restored “5 Spot Hamburger Shop” historic building.
