The Greene County board of supervisors in May proclaimed July as Donor Awareness Month in Greene County.
The action was at the request of MeLinda Madison (center) of Jefferson, who has advocated for increased awareness of the need for organ and marrow donors for many years. A year ago she and her brother donated several of their mother’s organs when she passed away.
