Time to ‘spring ahead’
Does anybody really know what time it is? Did you remember to “spring ahead” for Daylight Savings Time? Yawn. We all missed an hour of sleep Saturday night, and we don’t get to reclaim it until November. We’ll complain a little. We’ll be a little less productive at work Monday, claiming fatigue.

Members of Trinity Lutheran Church invite all area residents to a fundraiser next Sunday, March 16, to benefit Keisha Kopecky, whose Grand Junction home was destroyed in a Jan. 28 fire. Organizers are planning a silent auction, supper, and kitchen shower from 5 to 7 pm at the church, located at 801 W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson.

Area residents from several Christian traditions are once again gathering weekly for a meal, fellowship and a Lenten devotion. Each Wednesday a light lunch is served at 11:45 am, with an ecumenical devotion from 12:15 to 12:45 pm. A donation of $5 is requested to defray the cost of the meal.
