The Greene County Gobblers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is hosting the annual hunting heritage banquet Friday, Feb. 2. The doors of Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson will open at 5:30 pm with a meal catered by Lidderdale Country Store to be served at 7 pm.

Scranton sesqui committee to meet Monday
The Scranton sesquicentennial committee will meet Monday, Jan. 29, at 7 pm in city hall. The committee is looking for additional volunteers to assist in planning the 150th celebration of the community. The date of Saturday, June 29, 2019, has been scheduled for the event.
