Greene County magistrate court, week ending Nov. 14

In Greene County magistrate court cases were initiated as follows: Jeffrey Lynn Jones II, home town unknown, possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts; and Jacob Stanley Eischeid of Jefferson, theft-fifth degree.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Nov. 14 as follows: Matthew Daniel Friedman of Belle Plaine, no warning device, $50.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Jennifer Kay Stagg of Rippey and Thomas John Fitzin of Winston Salem, NC.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Mary Elizabeth Thompson of Huxley, *Linda Kay Hoffman of Grand Junction, *Jacob Andrew Slight of Ankeny, *John P Ziber of Aurora, IL, *Felicia Lynn Conroy of Carroll, Brandon James Jackson of Merrill, and William Richard Jahn of Coon Rapids.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Barbara Jeane Nelson of Bode, *Karen Elizabeth Kenison of Pleasant Hill, *Janet Lea Schrunk of Jefferson, and Michael James Hagan of Carroll.

Failure to stop/yield as posted, $100: Samantha Elaine Telleen of Jefferson.

Failure to wear/maintain safety belts, $50: Kurtis Darren Mollenbeck of Latimer.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Christy Rae Smith of Carroll, failure to carry registration card, $20; *Robert John Carey of West Des Moines, speed, $40; Jackie D. Smith of Lake City, failure to have insurance, $250, and failure to yield upon entering through highway, $100; Uvette Michelle Winger of Jefferson, failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way, paid $100 fine, judgment entered for $35 surcharge and court costs; Curtis Michael Swihart of Bagley, operation without registration, $50; and Stacy Rae Cline of Gowrie, speed, $40.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.

*An additional $5 county surcharge was added.
