Following are excerpts of daily activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Sunday, Nov. 1: At 1:26 am the sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson police department with a pursuit on Hwy 30 near R Ave east of Jefferson. At 2:02 pm a deputy, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 30 St near W Ave east of Grand Junction. Kyleigh Geguzis of Tipton lost control of a 2024 Hyundai Palisade and rolled the vehicle. The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries. Damage to the vehicle exceeded value. At 2:20 pm a deputy investigated a theft in Scranton. At 5:05 pm Harvick Beals, 23, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of reckless driving, excessive speed, eluding 25 mph over the limit, interference with official acts, and no valid driver’s license. At 8:45 pm deputies assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a search warrant in the 800 block of W. Monroe St in Jefferson.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
