Nolan Roger Wilson, 28, of Grand Junction was sentenced Aug. 11 to a term not to exceed 50 years in prison after he entered an Alford plea to a charge of child endangerment resulting in death, a Class B felony. He must serve at least 25 years of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole. He must pay $150,000 restitution to the estate of Rowan Wilson (his son) or Rowan’s heirs at law. He must also pay $8,500 restitution to the Crime Victim Compensation program. Wilson was sentenced to one year in prison on a charge of domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury. The term is concurrent to the longer term. H was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge and a $90 domestic abuse surcharge. A charge of murder- first degree was dismissed.
