Deal’s Orchard receives state grant

Deal’s Orchard was selected to receive one of 26 Choose Iowa value-added grants from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardships. The grants, awarded to Iowa farmers, small businesses and non-profit organizations in 22 counties total $463,000. Greene County district court, week ending March 22

Disposition was entered March 22 in Greene County district court in four separate cases against Royce Christopher Gonnelly, 33, of Jefferson. The earliest of the cases was initiated in July 2023 on a charge of operating while intoxicated. On that charge Gonnelly was sentenced to one year in jail, with credit for time served; all but 15 days was suspended.…

In Greene County magistrate court Kyann Karysa Brown of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment on a charge of trespass causing damage, amended from burglary- first degree.
