ISU Extension slates pesticide handlers course

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Greene County will host a Certified Handlers Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for Wednesday, March 20. The program, provided by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP), is available at office locations across Iowa.

The local attendance site is Greene County Extension in Jefferson. Please call to reserve your spot. Walk-ins on the day of the program are not guaranteed admission. The course runs from 9 to 11:30 am. The registration fee is $45 and $55 after March 20. The course will provide continuing instruction credit for certified handlers. Topics covered will include safe handling of pesticides; recognizing pesticide poisoning symptoms; and mixing procedures.
