The Greene County boys golf team opened its season Thursday hosting Des Moines Christian and Perry at the Jefferson Community Golf Course.
Des Moines Christian won the meet with a 162, with two golfers carding 40 and two carding 42. Greene County was second with a 210 team score. Jadon Block led the Rams with 47, followed by Cody Gilbertson at 53 and Caden Telleen and Jacob Rohner both at 55. Sawyer Schiltz golfed a 59.
Perry scored 274. The lowest Blue Jay score was 62.
DMC and Greene County both had JV teams on the course as well. DMC scored 194 while the Rams scored 281. Individual scores were Blake Halligan 63, Kole Teeples 69, Brian Hardaway 73 and Braden Cerveny 76.
Heath Telleen is the Greene County boys coach.
The Rams travel to Huxley to play Ballard on April 9.
