Spelling seemed to be a  family affair at the annual  spelling bee hosted by the Greene County Historical Society as part of the Bell Tower Festival. Fundraising supper in Churdan next Sunday

The Churdan library board and staff will serve a Father’s Day supper Sunday, June 17, from 5 to 7 pm in the Churdan Community  Room. The menu includes pork loin sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, chips and bars. A free will donation will be accepted, with all proceeds going to the Churdan library building fund.

Harold Peterson, 1926 -2018

Services were held Monday, June 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson for Harold Martin, Peterson, 91, of Jefferson. The Rev Dennis Martens, pastor of the church, offered words of comfort.
