Deloris Roeder, 1926 – 2018

A Service of Remembrance was held Monday, July 2, at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson for Deloris Roeder, 91, longtime Jefferson resident. Words of comfort were offered by the Rev Shirley Hoffmann Will of Griswold. Casket bearers were Benjamin Lawson, Rebekah Miller, Derek Roeder and Kyle Roeder. Interment was  at the Jefferson Municipal Cemetery.

Lamb barn project keeps growing

Two conservation groups and Landus Cooperative provide support The Greene County Fair is approaching and the Greene County Lamb Barn Project 4-H youth are working hard to have their lambs ready to show. This year the project has grown to 19 4-H members who will be showing 29 lambs, which is the largest group so far.

Jeff council hears library’s needs assessment

‘Tunes & Treats’ in Churdan July 4

County sees net decrease in non-medical insurance cost

The Greene County supervisors got good news when Joan St Clair of MacDonald Insurance gave them the renewal rates for the county’s property, liability and workers compensation coverage. The total cost is $226 less than the current year. The county’s liability insurance is through the Iowa Community Assurance Pool (ICAP). That premium is increasing $1,386.
