High school seniors who reside in Greene County are invited and encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by the Greene County Soil & Water Conservation Club and Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District by Friday, March 2.
Seniors applying must be planning an agriculture, conservation, or natural resources program or degree. This is a wide field and many studies apply. (For example, engineers, ag business, agronomy, vet or vet assistant, plumbers, diesel mechanics, electricians, horticulture/ landscaping, etc.)
Complete information and application forms are available from high school guidance counselors or Amber Kenan, conservation assistant, at the Greene SWCD office at 1703 N Elm, Suite 2, Jefferson, (the USDA Service Center) or by phone 515-386-3817 ext. 3.
Absolute deadline to apply is Friday, March 2, by 4 pm.
