Veterans, auxiliary honor and thank Boy Scouts

Members of the local VFW, American Legion and American Legion auxiliary hosted Boy Scout Troop 534 and their leaders for an appreciation meal and a check presentation.

According to American Legion post commander Jim Andrew, each of the three groups gave the scouts $100 to acknowledge their willingness and help with color guard and fundraising activities.

“The youthful energy of the scouts was a major factor in the success of the Greene County Fair concession project. They helped make it a total success and deserve our heartfelt thanks and reward,” Andrew said.
