Almost 50 area youngsters participated in the first week of swim lessons at the Jefferson municipal pool. The first session, June 19-23, was free with sponsorship by Home State Bank. Pictured are many of the young swimmers and the 2017 pool staff.
Lessons June 26-30 are sponsored by Farmers Mutual Insurance. The lower level classes are full, but as of June 24, there was still room in Levels 4 and 5.
More swimming lessons are scheduled for July. A two-week session will be held Monday-Thursday, July 10-13 and July 17-20. Classes are from 10 to 10:35 or from 1045 to 11:20 am. There is a charge.
Evening lessons are available July 24-28 from 5:30 to 6:15 pm. There is a charge for the evening lessons.
