All area veterans and motorcyclists are invited to be part of a motorcade that will escort the 9/11 Never Forget mobile exhibit to Jefferson Friday, June 30. All are invited to the city park in Churdan for “Tunes and Treats” Tuesday, July 4, starting at 7 pm. The Town & Country Band will provide the tunes and the Churdan public library board will provide the treats. Concert go-ers can enjoy ice cream sundaes, floats, or brownies a la mode as then enjoy music in the well-shaded park.

Registrations are due Thursday, July 6, for the Jefferson park and recreation department’s adult co-ed slow pitch softball league. Games will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 11 through Aug. 24, on the east city field in Jefferson. The schedule will be created to avoid team conflicts.
