Youngsters ready for the zombie apocalypse are invited to the Jefferson park and recreation department’s zombie run Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Daubendiek Park. Pre-registration is at 5 pm with the zombie run at 5:30. Pre-registration can also be done at the Greene County Community Center. Students in grades 4-8 are welcome.
Daubendiek Park will be full of obstacles and zombies…. Better run fast!
JPRD’s Halloween party is slated for Thursday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 5 pm at the community center. Area businesses donated candy and coupons, and Greene County High School Interact Club and National Honor Society members assist in running games and contests for the young goblins, princesses and super heroes. There is no charge for the Halloween party.
Trick-or-Treat Around the Square and the Jefferson public library’s Halloween event follow the JPRD party at 5 pm.
