The Jefferson police department issued 12 citations and 33 warnings during a special Traffic Enforcement Project March 16-19.
Citations were as follows: dark windows, three; license suspended or revoked, two; seat belt, one; speed, one; stop sign violation, one; registration violation, one; and other traffic violations, three.
Warnings were as follows: seat belt, eight; equipment, eight; speed, four; registration violation, three; no proof of insurance, three; stop sign violation,, one; dark windows, one; and other traffic violations, five.
JPD officers also made one felony arrest, investigated one accident, assisted one motorist and served two arrest warrants.
