Time for Jefferson ‘March Mania’ community contest

Jefferson Telecom announces a free college men’s basketball tournament contest sponsored by local businesses.

March Mania is free and easy to enter; just go to www.jeffersonmarchmania.com and fill out an online bracket. The contest is open to all residents of Greene County who are 18 or older.  Participants can now complete the quick online registration at the website listed.

Once the brackets are available for completion after “Selection Sunday”, March 13, an email will be sent notifying everyone that it is time to fill out the bracket. It is not necessary to have college basketball knowledge in order to participate, as a click-and-drag interface allows for easy bracket selection, taking only a few minutes to complete.

The participants who pick the most winning teams and earn the most points will win prizes.  First prize is Dronium One with WiFi camera drone. Second prize is a Braven portable wireless speaker and third prize is Yurbuds in-ear earphones.

One random entrant will receive $50 Greene County Chamber Checks in a drawing that all contestants are eligible for regardless of standings at the end of the challenge.

Previous first prize winners were Mary Wolterman in 2011, Nikki Uebel in 2012, Chris Dzuris in 2013, Amy van der Meer in 2014, and Shawn Angell in 2015.

The contest is sponsored by Slam Dunk sponsors Caleris, Greene County Medical Center, Home State Bank, Midland Power Cooperative, and Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home. The contest is powered by Jefferson Telecom.
