Anyone who needs to know first aid or CPR for a job, or who just wants to be prepared to help someone in a bad situation, is invited to a Community Heart Saver CPR class at the cardiac rehab department of Greene County Medical Center. The layman’s course is for people not in the medical profession and will lead to American Heart Association CPR certification. The class is slated for Tuesday from 5:30 to 10 pm.

The diabetes support group also has a special guest speaker for its meeting Thursday, Aug. 13. Chef Tony Pille of Sun Gold Farms will prepare a diabetic friendly dish that can be easily made at home. The group will meet in the medical center’s cafeteria.
