Another successful Scranton alumni reunion enjoyed by grads, friends

Roughly 500 Scranton High School graduates, staff members and friends registered for the all school reunion held Saturday evening in the Scranton Community Center. The former school building was comfortably cool thanks to the air conditioning installed in the past couple of years.

More people joined the Scranton guests on the school grounds both Friday and Saturday evenings with a beverage garden hosted by the Scranton fire department. Music on Saturday evening was provided by the band Trips, which included Jay Juergens, a 1979 Scranton graduate on the drums.

Doris Augustus Tolsdorf of Scranton represented the class of 1935 and was the oldest graduate in attendance. Other “senior” graduates registered to attend included Eva Gray Wampler of Scranton, 1940; Wilma Fielding Brafford, 1941; Marjorie Taylor Shaffer, 1943; and Beryl Johnson and Warren Robson, both of Scranton, 1944.
