Family and friends gathered Friday, June 19, at the lakeside shelter house at Spring Lake Park to celebrate the life of Kevin Campbell, 57, of Jefferson.
Honorary bearers were Howard Natzel, Tom Duncan, Terry Day, Tom Danielson, Dave Baldus, Chris Borst, Jim Kinsman, Ken Wright and Lori Whiton-Damron.
The family wass assisted by Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home of Jefferson.
Kevin Lavern Campbell, 57, of Jefferson was born August 1, 1957, to Darold and Rita (Siegenthaler) Campbell. Kevin passed away June 14, 2015, at Greene County Medical Center.
He went to Jefferson Community Schools and graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1976. After graduating he went to work at Tri-County Redi Mix for a few years. He was married to Mary Taylor on June 24, 1983. They were parents of three children – Cassie Kay, Benjamin Kevin, and Drew John.
Kevin went into business with his dad as Campbell and Son Trucking for several years driving semis. They hauled grain and cement. Kevin worked several other jobs in the concrete business before moving to New Hope, MN, to work with his best friend Howard Natzel at All Pac.
Kevin moved back to Jefferson one week ago to be near his family. Kevin loved camping, fishing, and his Football Sundays. He was a diehard Vikings fan!
Kevin is survived by his daughter Cassie (Cory) Fowler, son Ben (Shelby) Campbell; grandchildren Kayleigh, Kyann, and Carter Fowler and Leah and Brody Campbell; sister Kim (Joe) Brant; niece Heather Brant; nephew Derek Brant; half-brother Floyd Latta; and many friends and other relatives.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and son Drew Campbell in 2008.
