Community Players posts casting call

Community PlayersThe Community Players of Greene County have announced auditions for its winter production, the comedy “Pools Paradise,” with performances in late February.

Auditions will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 4 pm and Monday, Nov. 24, at 7 pm at the Masonic hall, 120 N. Wilson (formerly Figenshaw Furniture) in Jefferson.

Four men and three women comprise the cast. According to director Josh Tuel, people of all ages, shapes and sizes are encouraged to audition. No previous acting experience is necessary. The Players also welcome people to help backstage with costumes, hair and makeup.

“Pools Paradise” is a three-act farce written by Philip King. The plot revolves around three unlikely people, include the wife of a straight-edge minister, who think they’ve won big in a football pool.
