Paton-Churdan prepares to launch new school year

Paton-Churdan rocketPaton-Churdan students will greet new teachers and support staff when the school year begins next Wednesday. Joining the Rocket staff are special education teacher Michelle Paulson, high school music director Kendra Wilke, and third grade teacher and cross-country coach Lauren King. Lindsey Klocke joins the staff as curriculum director.

The school also has new support staff: Mitch Lewis, business manager and board secretary; James Helms, night custodian; and Lacey Cullum, head cook.

Paton-Churdan families are invited to an open house Monday, Aug. 18, from 6 to 7:30 pm at the school. High school students will be able to pick up their Chromebooks at the open house. A supper will be served as a fundraiser to help offset registration fees for the 3-year-old preschool program.

Ninth graders and their parents, as well as any upper classmen new to the district, are reminded of a 1:1 Chromebook orientation Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 pm at Greene County High School in Jefferson.
