Greene County High School seniors Sean Kenan and Abby Bravard have been selected to receive scholarships from Greene County Farm Bureau.
Kenan is the son of Gail Rueter of Grand Junction and Mark Kenan of Rippey. He is enrolled at Iowa State University and plans to major in natural resources ecology and management.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, Washington Winners 4-H club, and Horn-O-Plenty FFA chapter. Kenan has also participated in Skills USA sheet metal fabrication competitions on the state level and advanced to the national level. He is active in St. Brigid Faith Formation and Youth Group.
Abby Bravard is the daughter of Kathy and Mike Bravard of rural Jefferson.
She plans to attend Iowa State University and major in ag business. Balancing her high school studies with many extra-curricular school activities including cross-country, basketball, track, volleyball, and softball have kept Abby busy. She is a member of the National Honor Society and outside of school, does competitive dance.
She is a nine-year member of the Hardin Happy Hustlers 4-H club and has had success showing cattle at the county and state level.
The scholarships will be presented at the Greene County High School Senior Awards Night Tuesday, May 20.
