Shawn Angell has bragging rights as club champion for the year at the Jefferson Community Golf Course following the club tournament held July 31. Angell won in the championship division with a 106. Other place winners in the championship flight were Tyler Tiffany, Chris Anderson and Chris Nelson in places 2, 3 and 4, respectively. All shot 110.

Local archers compete in Iowa Games

A group of nine archers who participated in the Jefferson park and recreation department’s archery program this summer competed in the Iowa Games in July. Wyatt Russell, Kristin Wailes, Noble Hoyt and Kaleb Fisher won gold medals. Cheyanne Anderson won a silver medal and Joseph Anderson and Jax Carstensen won bronze medals.
