The Jefferson city council at its March 11 meeting approved the first reading of an ordinance adopting the 2012 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC). The council’s housing committee has spent considerable time reviewing the code and recommends its adoption.

Medical center trustees OK tax levy rate unchanged since 2008
The Greene County Medical Center board of trustees approved a budget that holds the property tax levy at $2.74 (per $1,000 dollars of taxable valuation) for fiscal year 2015. The levy rate is unchanged since 2008.
