Scouts selling popcorn as annual fundraiser

Cub Scout Pack 534 and Boy Scout Troop 534 have begun their annual popcorn sales fundraiser. Boys will be selling a variety of sweet and salty Iowa-grown Uncle Bade’s popcorn until Oct. 23. Money raised will help provide opportunities for boys to attend camps and participate in fun, educational activities that will encourage them to become exceptional young men.

New HVAC at rec center

After several months of persnickety heating and cooling at the Greene County Community Center, Durlam Electric will replace three of the four original (1999) HVAC units this week. The three units were delivered Wednesday. They’ll be hoisted up to the room after the existing units are disconnected and lowered.
