New HVAC at rec center

After several months of persnickety heating and cooling at the Greene County Community Center, Durlam Electric will replace three of the four original (1999) HVAC units this week. The three units were delivered Wednesday. They’ll be hoisted up to the room after the existing units are disconnected and lowered.

Jefferson had some hot weather and 1.25 inches of rain during the week that ended Sept. 9. Temperatures topped 90 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, according to KCCI’s SchoolNet 8. Habitat volunteers in Greene County have been very aggressive this summer, completing repairs for two thankful homeowners.
