October warmer, dryer than usual in Jefferson
By the standards people watch in weather, it was a nice October in Jefferson. According to data provided by volunteer weather observer John Beltz, the first 21 days of October were dry. Jefferson received 1.7 inches of rain, with nearly half of that falling on Oct. 28. Normal precipitation for October is 2.41 inches.
