4-H State Fair exhibitors told

Judging of 2016 Greene County 4-H static exhibit entries took place Tuesday, July 12. 4-H members’ projects were evaluated by experts in the areas of animals; agriculture and natural resources; creative arts; science, engineering, and technology; family and consumer sciences; and personal development. Judging is done face-to-face, giving youngsters the opportunity to learn and to practice valuable interpersonal skills.

Firefighters and emergency responders from Greene County and beyond honored Jefferson fire chief Randy Love and the Jefferson fire department Thursday afternoon. Love, 56, died Sunday. He joined the Jefferson fire department in 1995 and was elected fire chief in 2009. He was a 36-year employee of Jefferson Telecom.
