Chamber members add $3050 to fair premium auction

Greene County Chamber of Commerce members supported Greene County 4-H members with $3,050 in premiums at the Greene County Fair premium auction Monday morning.

The Chamber invited members and the community to provide funds for the auction as a way to encourage and commend the endeavors of local youngsters. As in previous years, Mike Holden was the Chamber’s bidder at the auction.

Home State Bank was a Supreme Grand Champion sponsor at the $500 level.

Premium sponsors at the Grand Champion level ($250) were A & W Family Restaurant, the Jefferson Kiwanis Club and the Teusch family.

Sponsors at the Champion level ($100 or higher) were Addie’s, Bee Mindful, Community Players of Greene County, Community State Bank of Paton, Deal’s Orchard, Doug Hawn, Durlam Electric, Jefferson Telecom, John 15 Vineyard, Moo Meat, New Way/Scranton Manufacturing, and Town & Farm Realty.

Sponsors at the Blue Ribbon level ($75 or higher) were GreeneCountyNewsOnline, Henkel and Associates, Herald Publishing, Kingsgate Insurance, Wilcox Gerken Schwarzkopf Copeland & Williams PC, and Wild Rose Casino and Resort. Krieger’s Flower Shop also provided funds.

Chamber president Ora Stevens thanked all those who made the Chamber’s participation in the auction possible and congratulated all Greene County 4-H and FFA members for their successes at the Greene County Fair.
