People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will host a microchip clinic for pets Saturday, Sept.26, from 2 to 4 pm at the Community Animal Shelter in Jefferson.
Persons who want to bring their dogs or cats for microchips are asked to call the shelter and leave a message at 515-386-2340, send a message via Facebook, or email pawsofgreenecounty@hotmail.com A PAWS volunteer will confirm receipt of all messages. Drop-ins are also welcome.
Cost of the implant is $10. “Pet owners will have the peace of mind knowing their beloved pet has a much better chance of being returned if he or she ever gets away,” a PAWS spokesperson said.
