In Greene County magistrate court Devin William Holm Morales of Jefferson was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with all but seven days suspended, in each of three cases in which he was charged with violation of a no contact order. The three terms are consecutive. He was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for two years, and he must complete a substance abuse evaluation and complete recommendations. Holm Morales must pay victim restitution to be determined and $60 court costs in each case.
Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Adam William Choruzek of Dana, harassment- third degree; Madison Meyers of Jefferson, simulated public intoxication; and Neal W. Schoon of Bayard, violation of a no contact order- six counts, and in a separate case, harassment- third degree.
