Students attending Greene County Schools will resume learning on August 23; registration needs to be completed by August 11.

Greene County Community School District is utilizing online registration this school year for new and existing students. For families without access to a computer/internet connection, a time to work from the school’s kiosk station may be reserved by calling the district office at 515-386-4168. One hour time slots are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For existing students, parents should log in to the Parent Portal to avoid reentering information. If you’re unsure of your username or password, contact Emily Gannon at gannone@greenecountycsd.net or 515-386-2188.

Once logged in, there is an “Online Registration” link in the bottom left corner, from there you can complete the online registration process. Verify household, parent and emergency contact information, confirm existing student enrollments, and add any additional students if applicable.

Families new to the district should complete the online registration application that is accessible on the school website – www.gccsd.k12.ia.us. Ensure pop-ups aren’t blocked before starting. If you have questions, contact district registrar Jill Lamoureux at 515-386-4168 or lamoure uxj@greenecountycsd.net.

You’ll receive your Infinite Campus username and password, and once your child’s registration has been processed, you’ll be asked to provide your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency (a copy of mail received at your address), parent documentation and updated immunization records. You may email these documents to lamoureuxj@greenecountycsd.net or drop off in one of the school offices. These documents must be provided before your child can start school.

After completing the registration process, new and existing families can pay for the school year fees under the “fees” section in the parent portal. All outstanding fees need to be paid before school starts. You can also add money to your student’s lunch account through the portal. Cash or check payments can be made in any school office.

Due to driver shortages and overcrowding, there will be changes to bus routes for the upcoming school year. See the related story.

Greene County School events are now cashless at the entry gates, with schedules being moved to Bound online.

For entry to Greene County events, fans will need a paid online ticket from Bound Ticketing, a debit or credit card, a pass, or paper tickets that can be purchased at the high school office during business hours (8:30 am – 3:30 pm).

Cash at the gate for events will not be accepted.

Passes can be obtained online through Bound, with a cost of $100 for adults and $50 for students, or a 20-game pass for the price of 18 games for $110. Senior citizens can get a pass for $25 in the Activities office at Greene County High School.

Admission prices have increased for the 2023-24 school year. Football will be $7 per school aged and older fan, with all other high school events costing $6 for school age and up, middle school events being $5 for adults, free for students.

Schedules for general activities and the school calendar will be on the Bound calendar, found at www.gobound.com/ia/schools/greenecounty/calendar.
