Funeral services for Tom Kinnan, age 77 of Churdan, will be held at 10:30am Saturday, August 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Churdan. Interment will be in Highland Township Cemetery in Churdan.
Keith Thomas Kinnan, known by all as Tom, was born December 24, 1945, in Carroll. He was raised on a farm west of Churdan by his parents Roger and Anna Marie (Jones) Kinnan.
In 1964, Tom graduated from Paton-Churdan High School. He worked as a farm hand for local farmers, and was employed at the John Deere plant in Paton for over 20 years. Tom lived in Churdan and was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Churdan.
For many, many years, Tom enjoyed attending all Greene county high school sporting events. He was a devout and devoted spectator. The student athletes and their families knew Tom and acknowledged his presence at their games.
Tom Kinnan died August 3, 2023 at the age of 77 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, and an infant sister, Barbara Joyce Kinnan.
Tom is survived by his brother, Jim Kinnan of West Des Moines, IA; a sister, Lois (Marion) Carrol of Seattle, Washington; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
