Organizers and vendors for the Greene County farmers market will meet Tuesdays April 29, May 6 and May 20 at 5:30 pm at the lower level Business Centre of the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson.
Discussion will include signing up as a vendor or as a food (dinner) provider; rules, regulations and licensing requirements for meal providers; taking famers market coupons for the sale of fruits and vegetables; and cooking and serving fresh food for sale at the market, other events, or catering and the feasibility and market study for a commercial community kitchen/food business incubator, and a USDA grant that will benefit many.
All those interested in the Greene County farmers market are encouraged to attend the meetings.
Markets will be each TUESDAY, from 4 to 6:30 pm on the courthouse square in Jefferson. The season will run from June 2 through Oct. 14.
