Weiss honored for 20 years with Greene County

Weiss 20 yearsGreene County engineer Wade Weiss (right) was presented with a certificate from the Iowa State Association of Counties recognizing him for 20 years of service to the county. County board  of supervisors John Muir (left) made the presentation on behalf of ISAC at the supervisors’ April 7 meeting.

As county engineer, Weiss oversees a budget of $4.4 million, with more than three-fourths of that coming from state road use taxes and other revenue sources. The Greene County secondary roads department maintains approximately 200 miles of paved roads, 950 miles of gravel roads and 150 bridges more than 20 feet in length.
