Doggie Paddle Sept. 3
The start of a new school year means the end of the season at the Jefferson municipal pool.
This week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there will be adult lap swim from 11:30 am to 1 pm and open swim from 4 to 7 pm.
Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 27-28) there will be adult lap swim from 11:30 am to 1 pm and open swim from 1 to 7 pm.
Next week, Aug. 29 through Sept 2, there will be lap swim from 11:30 to 1, but no open swim.
The pool season will close with the annual Doggie Paddle Saturday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 3:30 pm. Dogs can swim in the pool at a charge of $1 per paw, with all proceeds going to Animal Protection and Education (APE) charity to help fund low-cost spay and neuter clinics. There is no charge for the humans who accompany the dogs.
