The pervasive smoke in the air this morning, Saturday, come from a thick smoke plume from a wild fire in northern Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service.
The smoke advanced south during the morning and reduced visibility to 1 to 2 miles at times through at least 11 am. By noon, there was no longer a noticeable odor.
The NWS put out the warning to alert people with asthma or other respiratory problems to take necessary precautions.
