(Edited May 8, 4 pm) Two men were killed in a one vehicle crash on the Highway 30 overpass in Grand Junction Saturday morning. The Iowa State Patrol has identified the victims as John Jacob Twombly, 36, of Des Moines and Alexander Joseph Sharer, 26, of Boone.

Minnesmoka comes to Greene County
The pervasive smoke in the air this morning, Saturday, come from a thick smoke plume from a wild fire in northern Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service. The smoke advanced south during the morning and reduced visibility to 1 to 2 miles at times through at least 11 am. By noon, there was no longer a noticeable odor.
