The Greene County Ram volleyball ended a busy homecoming week with a tiring day at a tournament in Pella Saturday, Oct. 10. The Rams were 3-2 on the day and placed third in the six team tournament.
“This is a long, endurance type of day as we play every other team,” coach Donna Carhill said. “We played consistent and as a team the entire day. We continue to work on our defense and focus, particularly in the area of serving.”
Scores follow: Mediapolis 15-21, 17-21; North Mahaska 21-19, 21-8; PCM 16-21, 22-20, 15-10; Knoxville 21-15, 21-13; and Pella 9-21, 9-21.
At the service line, Nadia Fisher was 34 of 38 with four aces, Nicole Rohner was 41 of 45 with three aces, and Hannah Stein was 25 of 25 with one ace.
Hanna Promes had 59 assists. Fisher had 29 kills and Megan Durbin added 16. Fisher also had 27 digs, with 23 for Kenna Marquardt and 21 for Alison Gallagher.
